This detached, single storey cottage is set in a rural location
just outside the village of Ballintra in County Donegal and sleeps
four people in two bedrooms.

Region Description
The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed
cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green
field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into
towering cliffs and rocky shores. But however charming the image,
nothing equals the feeling of seeing the sights with your own
eyes, breathing the clean, fresh air and listening to the peaceful
sounds of a summer day in the West.

Town/Village Description
The village of Ballintra lies in County Donegal, and is situated
on the northern bank of the Blackwater River. The area is
fantastic for fishing, with the river Eske and numerous fishing
lakes available, and for golfers, Donegal Golf Club and Murvagh
Links Course provide a great game against a stunning backdrop. The
dramatic sandy beach at Rossnowlagh is backed by wonderful cliff
views of Slieve League, and is framed by the coast of the Atlantic
Ocean, making a wonderful day out. Donegal Town is a short drive
from Ballintra, and is home to Donegal Castle and Murvagh Beach.
For a great taste of the lovely Irish scenery, enjoy a drive along
the Glengesh Pass, while Slieve League, Glenveagh National Park
and Castle and Malin Head are all worth a visit.

Cottage Description
Bridget's Cottage is a single storey detached cottage near to the
village of Ballintra in the southern part of County Donegal. Able
to sleep four people in one double and one single bedroom (with an
additional sofa bed in the kitchen), the cottage contains a family
bathroom, a fitted kitchen with a range cooker and dining area as
well as a sitting room with an open fire. Outside the cottage is
ample off road parking and a side garden with furniture and a BBQ,
and front sitting area with a bench. The nearest shop and pub are
just a short drive away in Ballintra which makes Bridget's Cottage
a lovely base from which to explore this part of Ireland.
