eyes, breathing the clean, fresh air and listening to the peaceful
sounds of a summer day in the West.

Town/Village Description
The town of Louisburgh in County Mayo is located on the Bunowen
River and is within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The
town is surrounded by pretty countryside, has many amenities and
three Blue Flag beaches. Also nearby is the Sheaffrey and Mweelrea
Mountains. A ferry from Roonagh Pier to Clare Island is well worth
catching and on a clear day views of Connemara and Achill can be
seen. Other places that are worth visiting are Murrisk, which is
eight miles from Louisburgh and Westport, ten miles from
Louisburgh. There is a lot to see and do in this part of County
Mayo.

to a high standard and has wooden floors throughout. The cottage
sleeps six and has three bedrooms - one ground floor double, one
double with ensuite shower and one twin. The cottage also contains
a ground floor shower room, bathroom, a well equipped fitted
kitchen with breakfast bar and dining area, plus sitting room with
open fire. The cottage has off road parking for one car and an
enclosed, sloped rear garden, plus the nearest shop and pub is
only ten minutes walk away. 8 Ard Cahir Cottage is an ideal base
to explore Louisburgh, the breathtaking countryside, beaches and
many other places of interest nearby.
