There has recently been an announcement of the government's stimulus package which has given the go ahead for the 500 Million urban quarter in Grangegorman and DIT's new third level campus. This project is set to bring 20,000 students to the Dublin 7 area by 2017 as well preserving and restoring a number of listed buildings. A new health science research facility for 1,000 students will also be built and 39 DIT facilities situated around Dublin will be relocated to the Grangegorman site.
